Ryan Devlin

Biography

Ryan Devlin is a Scientific Officer at the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Scotland Institute. An early-career researcher, having just completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh through the CRUK TRACC programme, he is investigating the interactions between infection and cancer where usually cancer models are investigated separate from infection. Hoping to continue a career in academia/cancer research, he is interested in improving the representativeness and therefore translatability of tumour models in simulating human disease.He has also been involved with CRUK since 2017 as an Ambassador, trying to help improve public health policy by promoting the charity’s obesity campaign, stop smoking campaign, and Junk Food TV campaign amongst others.
